Operator and information
Controller: Bobby Weston trading as Serial Number Collectors. Privacy enquiries: serialnumbercollectors@outlook.com. The contact form asks for optional first and last names, a required reply email, subject and message. The discussion form asks for a display name, private reply email, discussion type, collecting topic, title and text, optional exact edition or number and condition/evidence notes, and a publication choice. Wix also processes technical, security and account information. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents, sensitive documents or private addresses. Essential cookies support security and session functions. Optional functionality, analytics, advertising and third-party data sharing are disabled in the site default consent policy during this pilot. If optional cookies are offered later, we will provide a choice before enabling them.
Use, visibility and service providers
Purposes and bases: legitimate interests in answering requested enquiries, assessing submissions, handling reports and keeping the site secure; consent for publishing approved text and display name when Yes is chosen; and legal obligations where applicable. Submitting is optional, but required fields are needed to answer or review. There are no automated significant decisions and no marketing subscription. A No choice remains private. Sending never publishes automatically, and reply emails are never published with a contribution.
Recipients: the operator and authorised collaborators, Wix for hosting, forms and security, and Microsoft Outlook for email. Public visitors see only text expressly approved for publication. Providers may process internationally, including Europe, Israel and USA. Their published privacy notices explain transfer arrangements, including adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses or UK addendum where relevant; copies or information can be requested from the privacy email.
We keep enquiries and unapproved submissions only while needed to answer or review them and resolve related disputes. Closed records are reviewed for deletion, with longer retention only for genuine security or legal needs. Approved public material is retained while useful to the community unless removed or consent is withdrawn, subject to legal exceptions.
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability where applicable. You may withdraw publication consent without affecting earlier lawful use. Member group access remains restricted during the pilot.
